About Jason
Jason Wyngard, also known as simply Jason, is a multi-talented musician from Harare, Zimbabwe. With a career that spans over a decade, Jason has established himself as a prominent figure in the Zimbabwean music scene.
Jason’s journey in the music business began at the young age of 12 when he began singing with local bands and participating in small studio recording sessions. Through this experience, he learned the ins and outs of the entertainment industry and began to develop his own unique sound.
Inspired by a wide range of different genres and artists, Jason’s music is a melting pot of various influences. He delves into many different genres and often mixes them together in his songs. This eclecticism is evident in his diverse range of projects, which includes hip-hop, R&B, Afro Beats, indie, afro-pop, alternative, and adult contemporary.
In addition to his work as a musician, Jason is also a DJ and radio presenter. He has had the opportunity to open for major acts such as Toni Braxton and Babyface and has also been a member of the popular local rap group Movip Family. Jason also owned and ran a successful recording studio, Movip Records, which helped to develop and record many emerging artists in Zimbabwe in the early 2000s.
Currently, Jason sings with the local band Rhythm Refined Band and continues to perform on the local circuit in Zimbabwe. His goal is to share his music with as many people as possible and with the help of technology, he aims to reach a global audience. Jason’s unique sound and wide range of influences make him a must-listen for music lovers everywhere.
